Note: Each tag is one of a kind. Depending on the aircraft, tags can vary in feel, material thickness, and color. Small imperfections reflect years in the air and bring the character of past days to life. Minor scratches, paint chips, and irregularities are completely normal and give every Aviationtag its unique charm—true vintage pieces made from upcycled aircraft material. These features are not caused by the production process; they reflect the condition of the original aircraft material used.
If you plan to use it as a keychain or luggage tag, we recommend the Aviationtag protective cover.
Airbus A380-841 (D-AIMI “Berlin”): The Airbus A380 is the world’s largest passenger aircraft—an unmistakable flagship that, in Lufthansa service, stood for premium long-haul travel, presence, and iconic gate moments. D-AIMI carried the name “Berlin,” reflecting Lufthansa’s long-standing tradition of naming aircraft after German cities. This airframe, Airbus manufacturer serial number (MSN) 072, completed its first flight on 16 November 2011 and its final flight on 22 February 2021 (ferry). Powered by four Rolls-Royce Trent 970 engines, the A380 measures approx. 72.7 m in length with a 79.8 m wingspan, cruises around 900 km/h (Mach 0.85), and offers a range of up to roughly 8,000 NM depending on configuration. After the end of its active service, selected segments from this A380 were secured for our officially licensed Aviationtag x Lufthansa edition—another milestone in the collaboration.
