This edition is cut from Airbus A330-243 ZS-SXV, flown by South African Airways — a long-haul aircraft built for distance, rhythm, and reliability. The story begins with its first flight on 22 July 2011, followed by delivery to SAA on 6 September 2011 as ZS-SXV. From Johannesburg, the A330-200 lived the steady cadence of intercontinental travel: late-night departures, early-morning arrivals, ocean crossings, and that unmistakable feeling of a cabin settling into cruise while the world scrolls beneath.

That energy doesn’t vanish — it transforms. Your Aviationtag is an aviation tag / aircraft tag / plane tag crafted from genuine aircraft skin and made from upcycled aircraft material. In March 2020, ZS-SXV’s chapter with South African Airways came to a close. The airframe then moved on to its final stops — via Newquay (NQY) and onward to Nîmes (FNI) — where the aircraft was ultimately stored and its material began a second life beyond the runway.

In the A330-200 class, typical seating is around 210–250 passengers, with higher-density layouts also possible. With a cruise speed around Mach 0.82 (about 870–880 km/h) and a maximum range of up to 7,250 nm / 13,450 km, the A330 is built for true long-distance flying. Key dimensions across the family include a 60.3 m wingspan, roughly 58.8 m length (A330-200), and about 17.3–17.4 m height. Many airlines also value the spacious twin-aisle cabin — often featuring the popular 2-4-2 economy layout.

Delivery time depends on whether you choose standard shipping or express shipping. With DHL Express, your order usually reaches you worldwide within a few days. Standard shipping can take significantly longer depending on the destination country; for distant countries and due to customs processing in the destination country, delivery may take up to 6 weeks.

For orders to Germany, the EU, the United Kingdom and the USA, all fees are already covered with your order; there should be nothing extra to pay upon delivery. For all other countries, your home country may charge additional duties, taxes or fees upon import, which must be paid by you. Yes, small dents, scratches, paint chips or other signs of use are possible. These marks do not come from production, but from the aircraft’s time in service, flying millions of miles and being exposed to weather, UV radiation and extreme conditions at high altitude. They are part of what makes every Aviationtag unique – a genuine piece of aviation history.

If you lose your Aviationtag, our Lost & Found Service can help: simply register it on our “Register” page using the serial number, aircraft registration and your contact details. For tags with a NoLongerLost QR code, scan the code on the back with your smartphone or enter the 8-digit code on nolongerlost.com to register your tag. If your Aviationtag is found, the finder can scan the code or report it to us, and we will do our best to help bring it back to you.
