The Airbus A380 MSN 8 Edition now also in Glare!

Our classic Aviationtag series crafted from Airbus A380 MSN 8 aluminum has completely sold out. However, here you have the opportunity to get your hands on some stunning Glare Aviationtags from the 9V-SKD.

It was April 26, 2008 when the Airbus A380-841 with the Manufacturer Serial Number (MSN) 8 was delivered to Singapore Airlines and received the registration 9V-SKD there. The A380 was often used on the routes to Sydney, Hong Kong and Tokyo - but it was also spotted in Frankfurt and London.

After less than 10 years, in December 2017, the MSN 8 had its last scheduled service and was phased out by Singapore Airlines - at a list price of up to 450 million US dollars. In 2018 she was still parked in France and received the lease boar’s temporary registration 9H-DPD there. Then in 2022 the A380 was scrapped and we were able to grab some parts and upcycle them into our latest Aviationtag Edition.

From the top 10 of the oldest A380 models, there were already the MSN 3, the MSN 5, the MSN 10 and now also the MSN 8 as Aviationtag editions. What a collection.

Note: Every tag is unique. Depending on the plane, tags may vary in terms of haptics, material thickness and colour. Small blemishes bear witness to the plane’s long history and are an authentic reminder of its glory days over the clouds. Small scratches, flaky paint and imperfections are totally normal and give our Aviationtags their unique charm – the charm of a vintage product crafted from upcycled materials. These quirks are not the result of the production process, they simply reflect the state of the aircraft material we use when it was extracted. The original aircraft paint of this edition is rather sensitive, so please take good care of your tag!

If you want to use it as a key-chain or bag-tag we strongly suggest to use the . Aviationtag protection cover.

Yes, small dents, scratches, paint chips or other signs of use are possible. These marks do not come from production, but from the aircraft’s time in service, flying millions of miles and being exposed to weather, UV radiation and extreme conditions at high altitude. They are part of what makes every Aviationtag unique – a genuine piece of aviation history.
