Shanghai Airlines B-2563 Boeing 767-300 Aviationtag Edition

The Boeing 767-300 is a popular wide-body jet airliner that has been in production since the 1980s. It has served as a reliable workhorse for many airlines around the world, and its versatility has made it a popular choice for both passenger and cargo operations.

One of the most notable examples of the Boeing 767-300 is the B-2563, which was delivered to Shanghai Airlines on July 22, 1994. This particular aircraft had a production serial number of 27309 and a line number of 546. It was one of several Boeing 767s that Shanghai Airlines operated over the years.

Shanghai Airlines was founded in 1985 as China’s first joint-stock airline, with the aim of providing domestic air services within China. It was founded by the regional government of Shanghai district, but was only able to operate flights from 1988 onwards. The airline grew rapidly in the following years and became a major player in the Chinese aviation industry. It expanded its network to include international destinations, such as Tokyo, Seoul, and Bangkok. She is a subsidiary of China Eastern and thus a member of the SkyTeam aviation alliance.

During its time with Shanghai Airlines, the B-2563 flew countless flights across China and beyond. It served as a reliable workhorse for the airline and played a crucial role in its success. Shanghai Airlines currently operates a fleet of 94 aircraft with an average age of 8 years, but no longer includes Boeing 767s. The fleet is predominantly comprised of the Boeing 737 family with over 80 aircraft.

However, like all good things, the B-2563’s time with Shanghai Airlines eventually came to an end. In March 2018, the aircraft was then withdrawn from use and stored at Shanghai Pudong International Airport from June to July of the same year. In August 2018, the B-2563 was finally ferried to Marana Regional Airport in Arizona, where it was placed in long-term storage. That was the chance for Aviationtag to cut and craft the most beautiful and colorful pieces of the aircraft for you.

Despite its retirement, the B-2563 has been given a new lease of life through Aviationtag. The company has taken a piece of the aircraft and transformed it into a unique and stylish keychain that serves as a reminder of the jet’s storied history. The Aviationtag Shanghai Airlines edition is a great way to keep the memory of the B-2563 alive and to honor its contribution to the aviation industry.

Overall, the Boeing 767-300 has been an iconic aircraft for several decades. Its unique design and versatility have made it a favorite among airlines worldwide. And while the B-2563 may no longer fly, its legacy lives on through Aviationtag and the memories it brings to those who carry it.
