Speedbird or Olympic Pigeon?

Here is our first Speedbird, which was also an Olympic pigeon: Ex-British Airways Airbus A319-100 with registration G-EUOH. In December 2001, Airbus delivered the MSN 1604 to the British flag carrier in a one-class configuration with 132 seats.

During its 17 years in active service for British Airways, the G-EUOH was privileged to be one of only nine aircraft to fly between 2012 and 2015 with a special livery for the London 2012 Olympic Games. The design by designer Pascal Anson was reminiscent of a golden dove and also extended to the wings and engines.

In 2015, MSN 1604 returned to its classic British Airways livery and was in service with the Oneworld member until 2019. We have managed to preserve a piece of British aviation and Olympic history for posterity in the form of our Aviationtag edition to get.

Airbus A319: The Airbus A319 is the second jet – chronologically speaking – in the well-known A320 family. Official work on the aircraft commenced on June 10, 1993 and its maiden flight soon followed on August 25, 1995 from Hamburg – Finkenwerder. With its fuselage length of almost 34 m, the A319 is about 3.8 m shorter than the basic A320 model, but still offers top of the range passenger comfort. With its flexible and generous seat width and extra-wide aisle, it sets new standards for passenger cabin flexibility in this segment.

Yes, small dents, scratches, paint chips or other signs of use are possible. These marks do not come from production, but from the aircraft’s time in service, flying millions of miles and being exposed to weather, UV radiation and extreme conditions at high altitude. They are part of what makes every Aviationtag unique – a genuine piece of aviation history.

If you lose your Aviationtag, our Lost & Found Service can help: simply register it on our “Register” page using the serial number, aircraft registration and your contact details. For tags with a NoLongerLost QR code, scan the code on the back with your smartphone or enter the 8-digit code on nolongerlost.com to register your tag. If your Aviationtag is found, the finder can scan the code or report it to us, and we will do our best to help bring it back to you.
