US Air Force and NASA Beech at Aviationtag!
Our latest limited Aviationtag series comes from the fuselage of the storied Beechcraft N6NA. The machine has a history of almost 80 years with many conversions behind it: It was built in 1942 by Beech in Wichita, Kansas as a T-11 model for the United States Army Air Force and was converted to a Beechcraft C-45H after just twelve years . .
After a short break with an unknown owner, she was then in service from May 1961 with the registration N9525Z for NASA at the "Jet Propulsion Laboratory", which builds and controls satellites and space probes for NASA. To continue her NASA career, our Beech was fitted with a three-speed gearbox by Volpar and, with the new and final registration N6NA, moved to NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, where she measured atmospheric electricity before each spacecraft launch.
After the N6NA belonged to the "Manatee County Mosquito Control" team from 1981 to 1999 and one year to "Milford Aircraft Parts Inc", on June 1st, 2000 it was handed over to "A Cargo and Leasing Company LLC". the trail of this stunning machine.
We are all the happier that the Beech found its way to us and can now start a new life as an Aviationtag!
