Both finishes were revealed through painstaking work: blue by carefully stripping away old museum paint, and silver using a special engraving and color-reversal process. Each tag carries scratches, patina and signs of wear – authentic marks of decades of aviation history. We are continuing to explore whether additional hidden layers can be uncovered to expand the collection in the future.
