A6-APA didn’t just add seats; it launched Etihad’s A380 era and introduced the “Facets of Abu Dhabi” identity to the world. The public reveal in Hamburg signaled a confident design shift, and days later the aircraft opened Abu Dhabi–London, placing Etihad’s flagship on the industry’s brightest stage. Inside, the superjumbo reframed long-haul as theatre, pairing generous private spaces with service that became synonymous with the brand.

When its flying career ended, A6-APA was processed in Tarbes. From selected fuselage panel sections we now craft the Aviationtag × Etihad edition in Cologne—individually serialized, finished with care, and made from genuine upcycled aircraft material. Own a limited edition aviation tag that carries Etihad’s Airbus A380 story in your pocket.

The collector's set includes the white Aviationtag, the grey Aviationtag and the platinum tag. In addition, a random two-colour tag is included. Cannot be combined with the two-colour tags.

Note: Each tag is unique. Depending on the aircraft, they differ in feel, material thickness, and color. Small irregularities tell the story of many years in the air and reflect the character of bygone days. Minor scratches, paint chips, and imperfections are completely normal and give each Aviationtag its distinctive charm — the charm of a vintage product made from upcycled aircraft materials. These characteristics are not the result of the production process but rather reflect the original condition of the aircraft skin used!

Airbus A380-861 (A6-APA): The A380 is the largest passenger aircraft in the world. A6-APA was Etihad’s first A380 as well as the 150th delivery of the type. The jet debuted the new “Facets of Abu Dhabi” livery in Hamburg in 2014 and entered commercial service on 27 December 2014 on the Abu Dhabi–London route. Powered by Engine Alliance GP7270 engines, the A380 measures approximately 72.7 m in length, 79.8 m in wingspan, reaches cruising speeds around 900 km/h (Mach 0.85), and, depending on configuration, offers a range of up to about 8,000 NM. After retirement, A6-APA was ferried to Tarbes in 2020 and processed there in 2025; selected segments form the basis of our edition.

We ship to most countries worldwide, with only a few exceptions. For most destinations, we offer standard shipping with DHL – our Economy Class – as well as express shipping with DHL Express – our First Class. The exact shipping costs depend on the destination country, shipping method and weight of your order and will be calculated for your delivery address at checkout.

Delivery time depends on whether you choose standard shipping or express shipping. With DHL Express, your order usually reaches you worldwide within a few days. Standard shipping can take significantly longer depending on the destination country; for distant countries and due to customs processing in the destination country, delivery may take up to 6 weeks.

For orders to Germany, the EU, the United Kingdom and the USA, all fees are already covered with your order; there should be nothing extra to pay upon delivery. For all other countries, your home country may charge additional duties, taxes or fees upon import, which must be paid by you. These costs are set by the local authorities and are outside our control.

Yes, small dents, scratches, paint chips or other signs of use are possible. These marks do not come from production, but from the aircraft’s time in service, flying millions of miles and being exposed to weather, UV radiation and extreme conditions at high altitude. They are part of what makes every Aviationtag unique – a genuine piece of aviation history.

If you lose your Aviationtag, our Lost & Found Service can help: simply register it on our “Register” page using the serial number, aircraft registration and your contact details. For tags with a NoLongerLost QR code, scan the code on the back with your smartphone or enter the 8-digit code on nolongerlost.com to register your tag. If your Aviationtag is found, the finder can scan the code or report it to us, and we will do our best to help bring it back to you.
