Hey & hey da!

We are very happy to bring you a real Viking home today: Gudrod Viking.

In September 2001, the Airbus A340-300 with Manufacturer's Serial Number (MSN) 424 was registered as SE-REB and delivered to SAS Scandinavian Airlines. After two months in flight service, the airline re-registered the machine to LN-RKG, christened it Gudrod Viking and headed for San Francisco, Tokyo and Los Angeles, among other places.

From April to October 2019, a very special sticker adorned the machine: "Mao Sun" and "Xing Er", two pandas from Copenhagen Zoo, greeted the passengers with the inscription "Welcome to Copenhagen".

Like the entire SAS Airbus A340 fleet, Gudrod Viking was discarded in March 2020 after 19 years of service. Since then, the machine has been waiting in Castellón, Spain, for recycling before the Viking headed north to Aviationtag!

Note: Every tag is unique. Depending on the plane, tags may vary in terms of haptics, material thickness and colour. Small blemishes bear witness to the plane’s long history and are an authentic reminder of its glory days over the clouds. Small scratches, flaky paint and imperfections are totally normal and give our Aviationtags their unique charm – the charm of a vintage product crafted from upcycled materials. These quirks are not the result of the production process, they simply reflect the state of the aircraft material we use when it was extracted. The original aircraft paint of this edition is rather sensitive, so please take good care of your tag!

If you want to use it as a key-chain or bag-tag we strongly suggest to use the Aviationtag protection cover.

We ship to most countries worldwide, with only a few exceptions. For most destinations, we offer standard shipping with DHL – our Economy Class – as well as express shipping with DHL Express – our First Class. The exact shipping costs depend on the destination country, shipping method and weight of your order and will be calculated for your delivery address at checkout.

Delivery time depends on whether you choose standard shipping or express shipping. With DHL Express, your order usually reaches you worldwide within a few days. Standard shipping can take significantly longer depending on the destination country; for distant countries and due to customs processing in the destination country, delivery may take up to 6 weeks.

For orders to Germany, the EU, the United Kingdom and the USA, all fees are already covered with your order; there should be nothing extra to pay upon delivery. For all other countries, your home country may charge additional duties, taxes or fees upon import, which must be paid by you. These costs are set by the local authorities and are outside our control.

Yes, small dents, scratches, paint chips or other signs of use are possible. These marks do not come from production, but from the aircraft’s time in service, flying millions of miles and being exposed to weather, UV radiation and extreme conditions at high altitude. They are part of what makes every Aviationtag unique – a genuine piece of aviation history.

If you lose your Aviationtag, our Lost & Found Service can help: simply register it on our “Register” page using the serial number, aircraft registration and your contact details. For tags with a NoLongerLost QR code, scan the code on the back with your smartphone or enter the 8-digit code on nolongerlost.com to register your tag. If your Aviationtag is found, the finder can scan the code or report it to us, and we will do our best to help bring it back to you.
