The crane is back!

For many years is Aviationtag already a proud partner of Lufthansa and part of the highly successful Lufthansa Upcycling Edition. We are happy, but now we have our own again Aviationtag Edition - officially licensed by Lufthansa, of course: The former Airbus A340-600 D-AIHR!

In February 2007, the A340 with the MSN 794 was delivered to the German flag carrier and, after less than 10 years in service with Lufthansa, was phased out again in 2016. In 2019, the D-AIHR embarked on its last voyage and now flies as Aviationtag of suitcases and bags of many travelers further around the world!

Note: Every tag is unique. Depending on the plane, tags may vary in terms of haptics, material thickness and colour. Small blemishes bear witness to the plane’s long history and are an authentic reminder of its glory days over the clouds. Small scratches, flaky paint and imperfections are totally normal and give our Aviationtags their unique charm – the charm of a vintage product crafted from upcycled materials. These quirks are not the result of the production process, they simply reflect the state of the aircraft material we use when it was extracted. The original aircraft paint of this edition is rather sensitive, so please take good care of your tag!

When using as a key fob or as a luggage tag, we recommend using the Aviationtag protective cover.

The white paint of the D-AIHR is rather dissimilar, so that the laser etching might look uneven.

The Airbus A340-600: The A340-600 is 12 m longer than an A340 -300, more than 4 m longer than the Boeing 747-400 and even 2.3 m longer than the A380. It held the record for the world’s longest commercial aircraft until the first flight of the Boeing 747-8 in February 2010. The maximum take off weight is 360 tons including a cargo volume of up to 201.7 m3.

We ship to most countries worldwide, with only a few exceptions. For most destinations, we offer standard shipping with DHL – our Economy Class – as well as express shipping with DHL Express – our First Class. The exact shipping costs depend on the destination country, shipping method and weight of your order and will be calculated for your delivery address at checkout.

Delivery time depends on whether you choose standard shipping or express shipping. With DHL Express, your order usually reaches you worldwide within a few days. Standard shipping can take significantly longer depending on the destination country; for distant countries and due to customs processing in the destination country, delivery may take up to 6 weeks.

For orders to Germany, the EU, the United Kingdom and the USA, all fees are already covered with your order; there should be nothing extra to pay upon delivery. For all other countries, your home country may charge additional duties, taxes or fees upon import, which must be paid by you. These costs are set by the local authorities and are outside our control.

Yes, small dents, scratches, paint chips or other signs of use are possible. These marks do not come from production, but from the aircraft’s time in service, flying millions of miles and being exposed to weather, UV radiation and extreme conditions at high altitude. They are part of what makes every Aviationtag unique – a genuine piece of aviation history.

If you lose your Aviationtag, our Lost & Found Service can help: simply register it on our “Register” page using the serial number, aircraft registration and your contact details. For tags with a NoLongerLost QR code, scan the code on the back with your smartphone or enter the 8-digit code on nolongerlost.com to register your tag. If your Aviationtag is found, the finder can scan the code or report it to us, and we will do our best to help bring it back to you.
