With its unmistakable silhouette, the ATR 72-212 with registration D4-CBU was an integral part of the TACV - Cabo Verde Airlines fleet from 2007 to 2017. Flying across the Cape Verdean archipelago, it carried passengers, dreams, and hopes from island to island. After a decade in service, its active time ended in 2017 when it was retired and stored in Sønderborg, Denmark.

Initially, we didn’t plan to create another ATR edition, as we had already worked on several ATR turboprops recently. However, when we saw the vibrant colors of the D4-CBU, we knew we had to secure a piece of it for our Aviationtags. The tag is upcycled from the original fuselage of this aircraft, which was also named "Baltazar Lope" and had a single-class configuration with 68 seats.

Whether as a keychain, on your luggage, or in your collection, this Aviationtag is a tribute to TACV Cabo Verde Airlines' D4-CBU and the many stories this aircraft carried throughout its years of service.

A notice: Every Aviationtag is unique. Depending on the plane, they differ in their feel, thickness of the material and color. Small bumps tell of the many years in the air and express the character of days gone by. Minor scratches, paint chips and bumps are completely normal and give the Aviationtag its special charm - that of a vintage product made from upcycled materials. These special features did not arise from the production process, but rather reflect the condition of the aircraft material used!

When used as a key ring or as a luggage tag, we recommend using the Aviationtag protective cover.

ATR 72-212: The ATR 72 is a turboprop regional airliner manufactured by the French-Italian consortium Avions de Transport Régional for short-haul cargo and passenger services. It was developed from the shorter ATR 42. In January 1986 the ATR 72 was officially presented and in 1989 the Finnish Karai the first ATR 72-100.

The ATR 72 is the 4.5 m stretched version of the ATR 42. Like this, it is equipped with two turboprop engines. In addition to the extended passenger compartment, the wings were also enlarged. Since the aircraft's tanks are located in the wings, the ATR 72 also has a larger tank and therefore a longer range.

The maximum range is a good 1,300KM and the maximum speed is 511 KM/H. Cabo Verde Airlines D4-CBU had a single cabin configuration with 68 seats.

Yes, small dents, scratches, paint chips or other signs of use are possible. These marks do not come from production, but from the aircraft’s time in service, flying millions of miles and being exposed to weather, UV radiation and extreme conditions at high altitude. They are part of what makes every Aviationtag unique – a genuine piece of aviation history.
