From KLM Classic to Cult Object

Our latest Aviationtag is made from the outer skin of a Boeing 747-400M (MSN 28460) that was in service for KLM for 21 years. This aircraft tag comes from PH-BFV "City of Vancouver", which was delivered to KLM in 1999. After its decommissioning in 2020, the Jumbo received a second life as VQ-BWM at JetOneX (operated by Longtail Aviation) and transported cargo around the globe. In 2024, the aircraft was finally scrapped in Stansted – but not before we could secure its iconic outer skin to create this limited edition.

Each Aviationtag displays the original KLM blue tone with authentic signs of wear from real flight operations. What makes this edition special: In addition to the typical light blue, we were also able to salvage sections in dark blue and white – some even still with the original film stickers that were applied during its service at JetOneX. This creates a unique variety of colors and surfaces – each tag is a true one-of-a-kind.

More than just a keychain, this aircraft tag is a piece of history – from the passenger and cargo queen of the skies to a coveted collector's item. Boeing 747, KLM, JetOneX, and Aviationtag – a legendary combination that makes every Avgeek's heart race. Don't miss the chance to secure this limited Boeing 747 Aviationtag and carry a piece of 747 legend with you always!

Limited to one Aviationtag Set per family / household - cannot be combined with the dark blue / white tag and/or the dark blue / blue tag.

Note: Each Aviationtag in this edition is truly one of a kind. Depending on the position on the aircraft, tags vary in texture, thickness, and color. Minor scratches, dents, or chipped paint reflect the aircraft’s decades-long service life in passenger and cargo operations as the Boeing 747-400M “City of Vancouver.” Some plane tags even still feature original vinyl layers from its last operational phase – these may partially peel over time, which is not a defect but a sign of authenticity. These imperfections are not the result of production but part of the aircraft’s real operational history – giving each Aviationtag its unique character.

The Boeing 747 VQ-BWM was dismantled in 2024 at Stansted. To preserve the original surface, the material was salvaged with great care. If used as a keychain or luggage tag, we recommend our Aviationtag protective cover to help maintain its condition.

Boeing 747-400M: The 747-400M, also known as the “Combi,” is a rare variant of the legendary Boeing 747, designed to carry both passengers and cargo on the main deck – made possible by a rear cargo door. Only 61 were ever built. The 747-400M features extended wings with iconic winglets, improving aerodynamic efficiency. Its distinctive upper deck and massive 64.44-meter wingspan made the 747 an aviation icon.

Yes, small dents, scratches, paint chips or other signs of use are possible. These marks do not come from production, but from the aircraft’s time in service, flying millions of miles and being exposed to weather, UV radiation and extreme conditions at high altitude. They are part of what makes every Aviationtag unique – a genuine piece of aviation history.
