Note: Every tag is unique. Depending on the aircraft, each piece may differ in feel, material thickness and colour. Small imperfections tell the story of many years in the air and express the character of days gone by. Minor scratches, paint chips and irregularities are completely normal and give each Aviationtag its special charm – that of a vintage product made from upcycled materials. These characteristics are not caused by the production process, but reflect the condition of the original aircraft material used!
Airbus A340-642 (D-AIHE “Leverkusen”): With D-AIHE “Leverkusen”, a genuine piece of Airbus A340-600 history becomes part of the Aviationtag x Lufthansa Collection. The A340-600 is one of the most impressive long-haul aircraft ever built by Airbus: four-engined, designed for intercontinental operations and, at 75.27 m in length, even longer than an Airbus A380. Developed for very long nonstop routes, the A340-600 combined long range with high passenger capacity and was mainly used on demanding long-haul services. Powered by four Rolls-Royce Trent 556 engines, the type reaches cruising speeds of up to 890 km/h, a maximum cruising altitude of 15,527 m and a range of up to 12,400 km. With a wingspan of 63.45 m and a maximum take-off weight of 368 t, the A340-600 stands for an era in which four-engine widebodies shaped international long-haul aviation. Lufthansa operated the type for many years as part of its intercontinental fleet. D-AIHE, Airbus manufacturer serial number MSN 540, was delivered in January 2004, completed its final flight in 2020 and was recycled in 2025 – selected material segments were secured for this officially licensed Aviationtag x Lufthansa Edition.

Yes, small dents, scratches, paint chips or other signs of use are possible. These marks do not come from production, but from the aircraft’s time in service, flying millions of miles and being exposed to weather, UV radiation and extreme conditions at high altitude. They are part of what makes every Aviationtag unique – a genuine piece of aviation history.
