A dragon at Aviationtag!

The Airbus A330-300 with the registration B-HLB has been at home in Hong Kong since its maiden flight in February 1995. The aircraft originally started its career as a passenger aircraft with 311 seats with the registration VR-HLB and the manufacturer's serial number (MSN) 083 with the Cathay Pacific. In July 1997, the 5-star airline re-registered the machine and it received its final registration B-HLB.

After 16 years in service, Dragonair, which has been part of Cathay Pacific since 1990, took delivery of the Airbus A330-300. Cathay Pacific took over all shares in Dragonair in 2006 for the equivalent of 1.06 billion US dollars and renamed the airline Cathay Dragon in 2016. The plane was still on the way until August 2019, when it flew to San Bernardino International Airport for the last time on September 27, 2019.

At the end of 2020, the Cathay Pacific had to completely close the Cathay Dragon due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We are therefore all the more pleased to be able to save a part of Asian aviation history and bring it to your home!

We send ours Aviationtags all over the world. You have the choice between Economy Class
Shipping as Warenpost with Deutsche Post or 1st Class shipping with DHL Express.

Note: Every tag is unique. Depending on the plane, tags may vary in terms of haptics, material thickness and colour. Small blemishes bear witness to the plane’s long history and are an authentic reminder of its glory days over the clouds. Small scratches, flaky paint and imperfections are totally normal and give our Aviationtags their unique charm – the charm of a vintage product crafted from upcycled materials. These quirks are not the result of the production process, they simply reflect the state of the aircraft material we use when it was extracted. The original aircraft paint of this edition is rather sensitive, so please take good care of your tag!

If you want to use it as a key-chain or bag-tag we strongly suggest to use the Aviationtag protection cover.

Airbus A330: The Airbus A330 is a wide-bodied twin-engine aircraft produced by the European aircraft maker Airbus, designed as a medium or long-haul aircraft and developed to replace the A300-600R and to give the Boeing 767-300ER a run for its money.

The A330-300 entered service on January 16th 1994 after 420 test flights with more than 1,100 flight hours. The A330-300 is based on a longer A300 cabin with new wings, stabilisers and fly-by-wire systems.
