Aviationtag X Braathens Regional Airlines!
Today we are pleased to be able to present another cooperation with a well-known airline and also another new aircraft type! Braathens Regional Airline's British Aerospace Avro RJ85 SE-DJO is now part of the Aviationtag fleet.
Braathens Regional Airlines is owned by the investment firm Braganza, which in turn is wholly owned by the Per Braathen family.
Our SE-DJO had its maiden flight for Swiss Crossair in 1993 – at that time still as HB-IXF. In 2002 it was transferred to the fleet of Swiss International Air Lines and in 2005 to that of Swiss European Airlines. In 2007, the RJ85 Avroliner went to Scandinavia, where it operated domestic Swedish flights for Transwede Airways, which Braganza owns 50% of, until 2009. The SE-DJO was then used by the sister company Malmö Aviation until 2016.
Then the Manufacturer Serial Number (MSN) E2226 received its typical Braathens Regional Airlines livery and was still in use for the BRA until 2020. In 2021 it was finally sold in Great Britain and we were able to secure part of the Avro RJ85 to create our current Aviationtag Edition.
