With A6-APA, Etihad debuted a new visual language and set its A380 standard on the high-profile Abu Dhabi–London corridor. The images from Hamburg became instant brand shorthand; the cabin experience turned long-haul into headline news. A6-APA wasn’t just first—it was formative, shaping how travelers saw Etihad for years.

Today, a part of that story returns. Material recovered in Tarbes is cut and finished in Cologne to create the Aviationtag × Etihad series—each plane tag individually serialized and crafted from original fuselage panel stock. Because it’s real upcycled aircraft material, no two pieces are alike. This limited edition aviation tag is your pocket-sized link to Etihad’s Airbus A380 icon.

The two-colour versions are randomly selected from the possible colour variations shown in the pictures and shipped. Cannot be combined with the Collector Set.

Airbus A380-861 (A6-APA): The A380 is the largest passenger aircraft in the world. A6-APA was Etihad’s first A380 as well as the 150th delivery of the type. The jet debuted the new “Facets of Abu Dhabi” livery in Hamburg in 2014 and entered commercial service on 27 December 2014 on the Abu Dhabi–London route. Powered by Engine Alliance GP7270 engines, the A380 measures approximately 72.7 m in length, 79.8 m in wingspan, reaches cruising speeds around 900 km/h (Mach 0.85), and, depending on configuration, offers a range of up to about 8,000 NM. After retirement, A6-APA was ferried to Tarbes in 2020 and processed there in 2025; selected segments form the basis of our edition.
