A6-APA was more than an aircraft: It opened Etihad's superjumbo chapter in December 2014 and simultaneously marked the 150th delivery of the type worldwide. Prior to that, this very jet was in the spotlight in Hamburg when Etihad presented its new “Facets of Abu Dhabi” livery – a confident design that redefined the brand and inscribed the promise of luxurious hospitality on its exterior. A few days later, A6-APA took off for its first scheduled service on Abu Dhabi–London, setting a tone that many followed.

Inside, Etihad showed how long-haul travel can be reimagined: a three-room suite, spacious apartments, and an onboard feeling that made the A380 the ambassador of the brand. For Etihad, A6-APA was the lever to unite design, service, and product on one stage – from the premier route to Heathrow to other long-haul flights. With it began an era, whose images still represent Etihad today.

At the end of its service, A6-APA was properly processed in Tarbes. From selected sheets of the upper fuselage sections and the area under the tail, the Aviationtag × Etihad Edition is now created. In Cologne, we cut and refine each piece, preserving conscious traces of time and assigning it a unique serial number. Thus, authentic aircraft material becomes a compact keepsake with verifiable provenance – strictly limited, as long as material is available.
