Bienvenido MD-88 EC-FJE!

Our latest Aviationtag edition comes from the McDonnell Douglas MD-88 with the registration EC-FJE. Delivered in 1991, this aircraft initially served the Spanish airline Aviaco, flying under their banner until 1999 when it was acquired by its new owner, Iberia. Iberia renamed the aircraft "Gibralfaro" and continued to operate it on their routes.

After years of service, the MD-88 was retired and stored in Madrid in 2008, awaiting its final chapter. In 2024, we managed to secure parts of this iconic aircraft for our latest Aviationtag edition. Due to the long period of storage, the materials display natural wear and tear, giving each aircraft tag a unique patina and authenticity.

Please note: Given the condition of the materials, we recommend reviewing the product information carefully before making your purchase.

A notice:Every Aviationtag is unique. Depending on the plane, they differ in their feel, thickness of the material and color. Small bumps tell of the many years in the skies and express the character of days gone by. Small scratches, paint chips and bumps are completely normal and give the Aviationtag its special charm - that of a vintage product made of upcycled materials. These special features are not the result of the production process, but reflect the condition of the aircraft material used!

Please note that slight cracks and chips are normal due to the long service life of 16 years in Madrid and do not constitute a reason for complaint.

When using as a key ring or luggage tag, we recommend using theAviationtag protective cover .

Delivery time depends on whether you choose standard shipping or express shipping. With DHL Express, your order usually reaches you worldwide within a few days. For orders to Germany, the EU, the United Kingdom and the USA, all fees are already covered with your order; there should be nothing extra to pay upon delivery. For all other countries, your home country may charge additional duties, taxes or fees upon import, which must be paid by you. These costs are set by the local authorities and are outside our control.

Yes, small dents, scratches, paint chips or other signs of use are possible. These marks do not come from production, but from the aircraft’s time in service, flying millions of miles and being exposed to weather, UV radiation and extreme conditions at high altitude. They are part of what makes every Aviationtag unique – a genuine piece of aviation history.
